Alakylä School

Alakylä School is a comprehensive school for about 300 pupils in Seinäjoki, in South Ostrobothnia.
Our school’s areas of focus include responsible schooling, entrepreneurial education and the learning use of information and communication technology.

Our motto is that Alakylä School is a safe, caring, encouraging and entrepreneurial school.

In the autumn of 2013, Alakylä School was the first Finnish school to receive quality accreditation for entrepreneurial education. Our school has been selected as one of the OECD’s top four providers of entrepreneurial education practices in an evaluation carried out in June 2014.

The guardians of pupils who wish to participate in the activities of the parent committee can do so. There are about six meetings during the school year.

The aim is to collaborate with the school to support educational work. In addition to this, the activities include fundraising by means of various events.
