Koura School
Koura School started its operations in 1917 in a prayer room purchased by the municipality from the Jokinen brothers, and it moved to its current location within the newly completed school building in the autumn of 1928.
The school’s additional building includes the school’s woodworking facilities, a gymnasium (19 x 7 m, height 3.4 m, parquet floor) and a maternity and child health clinic.
At the end of the school building, there is Koura’s group family daycare centre, and on the third floor, there are premises specially designed for theatre activities for the village residents’ hobby activities and the school’s educational use. Koura School cherishes the traditions of a rural school.
