Support for growth
In Seinäjoki, early childhood education has three levels of support: general support, enhanced support and special-needs support. The objective is to prevent the need for support, on the one hand, and to detect the need for support as early as possible, on the other.
A special education teacher in early childhood education assesses the child’s need for support and support measures together with the child’s guardians, early childhood education personnel and experts of various fields. The special education teacher in early childhood education plans the learning environment together with early childhood education professionals to meet the support needs.
The support is included in the daily activities at the child’s own early childhood education unit.
