Seinäjoki offers special cultural activities for the elderly. The activities are called K65 Kulttuuritoiminta.

K65 Kulttuuritoiminta

  • Cultural activities are open to all and free of charge.
  • The cultural director has the opportunity to implement home visits to support participation in open cultural activities.
  • The cultural director Jenni Timonen is happy to help you to find a suitable cultural activity. You can call the number 044 418 1807 or send email to jenni.timonen@seinajoki.fi.

ARMAS festival

  • Every year in March, a national ARMAS festival celebrates the aging. The festival consists of various events, exhibitions, performances and other cultural programs.

Do you need support to participate to cultural activities?

  • Kulttuurikaveri: If going to cultural events seems difficult, you can ask for Kulttuurikaveri through Järjestötalo. Email Anne Sironen for more information anne.sironen@jtalo.fi.
  • Kaikukortti: With the Kaikukortti card you can get free tickets for example to festivals, museums, theatre performances or concerts. You can also attend certain adult education courses free of charge. The card is issued to clients of the municipal social welfare and healthcare units that are part of the Kaikukortti network. The card is intended for persons who are over 16 years old and, due to financial constraints, can’t afford entrance tickets or adult education courses. Email Laura Buckman for more information laura.buckman@seinajoki.fi.
